I agree communication and interaction in chat groups, etc. is real and affects those involved in the interaction. I guess my take would be: Although the communication is real, I'm not certain we, as a whole, still have the skills to only communicate with words. There have been studies that have concluded the actual words communicate as little as 20% of the meaning (the rest is by intonation, visual cues, and other nonverbal gestures). 20% may be a bit low, but I think the gist of the study is still accurate. Very much of what we mean is not "said" with the words, but communicated in other ways.
The usage of the language in proper forms has denigrated.
My question is, do you think people can have accurate communication in this limited medium?
