I recalled the results as indicating that CBT/placebo did not significantly differ from CBT/imipramine, also that CBT/placebo did significantly worse in the long term than CBT alone. Sounds like I misremembered the results, or they changed in the final analysis after presentation in the UK. The current issue of Verhaltenstherapie has a fascinating study using Alprazolam (Xanax) or placebo during exposure sessions in flying phobics. Very clear effects found, with alprazolam associated with a return of fear relative to placebo. This whole area is hotting up at the moment. best wishes, Paul
