So who decides what Gestalt is/is not?

Wow, I just jumped into this stuff about touching the body. I'm a gestalt therapist (or I thought I was) and I spent years training with Mike Smith (Lomi, the Ranch, etc.)(bless his soul where ever it is) in body work--and gestalt blended very well thank you--and I spent years researching heidegger and zen and gestalt--and living them--and I'm really disapointed to read this kind of bullshit about what gestalt is/is not. Once we talk about it like its some kind of thing--it loses all its life--who are you--or any of us--to say what it is. If it 'is'--its dead, and lets move on to something else.
