This condition is characterized by sudden paralysis that may last weeks or months, and may resolve as suddenly as it began. In the meantime, the person suffering from the paralysis has no way of knowing what will happen, with possibly a resultant PTSD due to the trauma of suddenly becoming paralysed.
Treatment with EMDR would probably be limited to resource-building. However, have any therapists experience with such a case, and would you foresee any contraindications to using EMDR?
