Matt, although the above comments are already worded cautiously, they do seem to be addressed to you, so I will just add my usual caution that I say to everyone here... That is that this forum can't offer individual advice, but rather, can say general things only. Indeed, you'll have to consult with qualified therapists, whether CBT or EMDR or both, for assessment and case formulation to determine what makes the most sense for you.
