Re:Just what is going on here?

It's no secret --- In this forum we have had a history of problems of people (mostly one or two people) who confuse disagreement with disrespect, and who have downright harassed the people working this forum with ascerbic and repetitive posts.

With the relaunch of this forum, we established a policy that the forum leader or proxy will consistently delete disrespectful posts, and that we won't keep repeating defenses against criticisms that distort the research and have already been well defended in the archives.

All those criticisms and defenses are perfectly enshrined in the archives, but we aren't going to repeat them here. Regrettably, this means that some posts that contain good information but are also disrespectful or redundant will be deleted in the new forum.

The remedy is clear -- keep posts professional, courteous, and don't rehash.
