    EMDR, DID, and Tapes
    Prefer Unknown · 12/13/01 at 12:05 ET

I have been a client for several years and EMDR has freed many within. But evidently there are occasions when "tapes" seem hinder progress. For sometime I've thought EMDR could not deter the tapes.

However, now I wonder, I don't believe the "tapes" are without substance. I mean, I don't believe they live, exist on their own. They must live within a part--which, to me is only logical. It seems to me that someone inside holds these "tapes". Therefore, my question, wouldn't EMDR succeed in eliminating such torment? If a part or parts own these tapes, then it seems probable that EMDR could eliminate their effectiveness.

Is this grasping for straws or a possibility?
