oh ok now i understand why the EMDR therapist would not speed things up for me since i have until January 1 before i have to change therapists. she has not done EMDR with me yet and stresses that the groundwork must be done first before it can be safely done. not something to rush into with doing much work first. i appreciate your explaining this to me in a way that i can understand.
