I don't have the citations with me, but there was a study comparing EEGs from EMDR to that from hypnosis, by Nicosio, PhD, I think, in the June issue of the 1995 journal Dissociation (he found different brain waves by the way). Bessel van der Kolk MD has some PET scans that show differences pre and post EMDR for several individuals, and last I heard that study wasn't published yet -- someone else may have a current citation for that. Ian Wickramestra PhD at Stanford University in in the middle of collecting EEG data progressively over treatment for some individuals there, and I believe has some data about EEG during an EMDR session. I don't think that data is publishedyet either. I hope someone else has citations for studies -- you can also review the archives of this forum for prior discussions on this subject.
