This is an interesting question, and I have to say, no, I don't know of any such studies. There may be clinicians with case experiences on this point, and with luck one or two will post here in answer to your question. Here is my experience -- with two individuals who were not carrying diagnoses of paranoid schizophrenia, but rather met criteria for a diagnosis of Delusional Disorder (paranoid subtype), I observed reduced symptoms once the EMDR had cleared out alot of the stress that seemed to be providing the push behind the delusional symptom picture.
The disorder wasn't altogether resolved, but the person felt lower stress and so the symptoms were somewhat relieved. It may be that relaxation skills training may have produced similar results, I don't know. Other clinicians have experience on this point?
