    EMDR and REM-sleep
    Eric · 03/17/01 at 5:55 ET

A REM-sleep period gives a certain type of waves at an EEG. Is there anyone who knows if the same happens at the desensitisation during EMDR since some people argue that the mechanisme of the two processes is pretty much the same? I already have heard about differences in PET-scan before and after treating the trauma, but i'm wondering if EEG during EMDR gives the same brainwaves as during REM.
Thx for the ones that can answer this question.
