Re:EMDR as a Dissertation Topic

You know, I wouldn't let the mechanic at the Used Car Autoplex "evaluate" the car they were trying to sell me because no matter how honest he was he still worked for the folks trying to sell me the car. Why would anyone who wanted to do independent research go through the organization devoted to promoting, and frankly selling, the treatment? It just makes good sense to read the articles for yourself, if you can, talk to folks you trust who are not trying to sell you anything and who have not publically announced their position, and do the research at your own campus with faculty you can talk to every day - doesn't it?
