I know that you cannot give consultation advise here and I would not ask you to do so. But I would like to just get an opinion. I had EMDR a couple years ago. While it was helpful with trauma from adult experienced issues, the trauma I suffered as a child was too overwhelming for me at the time. I have some dissociative barriers. The therapist I think was also overwhelmed with me at the time. Now two years foward, I am much more stable, I have had more talk therapy. My impulse behaviors are under control. I seldom dissociate now. I have more problems now with day to day living issues. I have alot of anger and at times I feel like underlying rage. I wonder if I could once again be a candidate for EMDR. My question is this, not just for my particular instance, but in general, is it possible for a person who does not successfully complete EMDR at one stage of their healing, to be able to attempt it at a later date? I would appreciate any feedback on this.
