Dr. Paulsen, I think that is a incredibly important distinction to make though. The only thing that sets EMDR apart from treatment modalities that are focused exclusively on desensitization and talk therapy is the eye movements. That makes it important to find out if the eye movements actually makes a difference or not. Right now that question is unanswered. Hopefully it will be answered in the future. Anyone who does not think this is an important distinction to make, in my mind, is treating the treatment form as a "holy cow". Da Friendly Puter Tech
You said that the only questions that remain about the efficacy of EMDR as a treatment are questions about which components of the treatment affects the change.
