I don't know of protocols related to sexual urge reduction, but there is an urge reduction approach that has been developed for other addicted behaviors. My favorite is to use EMDR to target each component of a behavioral analysis of the variables maintaining the addictive behavior, which is more than just the urge per se. That behavioral analysis is S-O-R-C, in short. S: These targets would include the triggers/environmental Stimuli which are the antecedents of the behavior (e.g., time of day, visual stimuli).... O: then the Organismic variables (urges, beliefs, emotions, chemistry)..... R: then the behavioral Repertoire itself (the addictive behavior, the parameters of the habit itself) .... C: then the Consequences or outcome that reinforce the behavior, the short and long term consequences. See also the DeTUR approach by A.J.Popky. This includes desensitizaiton of the Triggers --- Urges --- and Responses, which is less than the SORC analysis.
