Regrettably, we can't comment on individual cases here because its just not a place where we can do a good job for you, or get the right information. I'll make some general comments which may or may not apply in your case. EMDR can be very helpful for many people for sexual abuse histories. There needs to be an intitial assessment period for everyone to determine whether the person has an undiagnosed idssociative disorder, because that has a different treatment track. There needs to be checks to be sure the person has a "safe place", and that any needed containment and stabilization has been achieved. For people who already have that, they can do EMDR and get some relief. For other, the preparatory work will take a while. For others, they can start EMDR right away but it will take a while, and can't be done constantly lest it be destabilizing.
