Sandra writes: EMDR at this point is hardly a fad therapy. There is plenty of research to support its use in PTSD There is also plenty of quality research which shows EMDR to be of dubious value. This research is rarely addressed on this board and usually in a dismissive manner as if the matter has been settled through scientific debate. That is hardly the case. Perhaps Sandra can explain how the body "keeps score" and how trauma goes "unresolved" using empirically based science. DID was formerly MPD or multiple personality disorder. Perhaps Sandra can explain - using empirically based science - how it is a person can have many personalities but one personality can't inhabit many bodies. Here's a link to MPD/DID: http://skepdic.com/mpd.html
