EMDR for children is usually simpler and faster than for adults, after all, the traumatic "file folders" are not very voluminous, and the interconnections are simpler with other aspects of self.

There are a number of book on the subject of EMDR and children including Joan Lovett's, Sandra Wilson and Bob Tinker's, Ricky Greenwald's and others.
This is an easy thing to test, because it will either help quickly or not at all. A few sessions will tell the answer.
