Hi. I am asking this for a young friend of mine, a 14 year old girl. She had a very traumatic year of school in California, then moved to Philadelphia. In Philadelphia, she did EMDR, and successfully processed some of her memories from school. Then, she went back to CA for a visit and saw her old school. At this point, the memory became charged again, and she felt all the original trauma. Since she had gone through the EMDR process, why would it affect her this way? Diane
