    Lets not forget there is also some empirical proof and research that it can be quite damaging to deliberately go "looking" for memories which may or may not be there. The mind is powerful, and for most humans open to suggestion. Suggested memories can have a huge negative impact, and can be very destructive for the person believing in them.
