Hi - I am a patient of a wonderful psychologist but I hate EMDR. It physically hurts and as soon as that happens, I look away from her hand or close my eyes and get stuck. She has tried tapping as well but that hasn't done much for me. We have had success with the earlier scenes of the trauma but as soon as it hurts, I panic or can't listen or something. So we went to the end of it and worked backwards and now we are at the same place and I just can't do it. We have stopped for a few months but she asked if we can try it again because I still don't sleep well. Do other people have this - I don't mean to look away at all but the idea of watch it go by like a train or all of that works well until it hurts. Any ideas for me?
