Thanks Shawn. Yes, I've ordered the CAPS and the PDS -- overkill perhaps. And the DES is easy, but not as solid as the SCID-D, and the DDIS is too triggering. I wonder if researchers are using the SDQ-20 yet -- not sure of its current psychometric status. With complex PTSD ---or DID---one of the many research problems has is the dose/response problem. Someone with hundreds of traumas in childhood wouldn't have the same rapid lowering of symptoms on say the IES as someone with a single horrible car accident. But I wouldn't expect the DES or SCID-D or DDIS or SDQ-20 to reflect dramatic drop in scores with even a dozen sessions of EMDR or exposure. And if I used the DES, the IES, the SCID-D, the CAPS, my highly dissociative subjects might just throw the whole package out the window - too many snoopy questions. Any other comments here? Anybody know about Paul Dell's --what is it--- MID I think? Is it well enough established that people are using it for research? I want to get some repeated measures going, after a solid initial battery, on say 10 highly dissociative clients, and administering EMDR, and other established treatments for dissociation, and want to use the best instruments for the job. There's almost nothing out there but a few case reports, so the gold standard for research for DID and DDNOS is not out of sight. Any researcher's comments are welcome. Thanks, -Sandra
