    1ST ENCOUNTER DURING EMDR TRAINING
    ADWEE · 04/08/03 at 9:42 PM ET

I just completed EMDR training over the weekend and found it to be utterly exhausting, more I think due to my own personal involvment with it. During my last practicum I couldn't even complete the EM's because I felt like I was going to be thrown into a deep state of sleep. When I returned from training, I saw an EMDR therapist one day later and again, became so exhausted during EM's that I just wanted to pass out into a deep state of sleep. I kept up with it nonetheless and had to take a nap when I returned home. I have been tired ever since. Is this a common phenomen - or is it likely some unresolved issue I'm trying to avoid? I've had so much psychotherapy over the years that I thought I knew all of my dark secrets.
