Hello You wrote "Of course there is more to NLP than a one liner. This forum is not about NLP. I don't know more about NLP except that it's obviously different from EMDR" If you don't know much about NLP how do you know its it's obviously different from EMDR NLP is very different from EMDR as a main thrust of body of knowledge. Dr Grinder is saying Francine Shapiro worked for his company and asked him a question with respect to a friend she was working with who had experienced tramua. Dr Grinder suggetsed the person be put in a resourceful state (anchored) and have her systematically move her eyes through the various accessing positions typical of the major representational systems (with the exception of the kinesthetic access). He suggested that she see, hear (but not feel) the events in question - obviously the kinesthetics were to remain resourceful (the anchored state) while she processed the event. Saying it another way, Francince Shapiro was advised to assist the client move her eyes from left to right looking up and on the mid plane as she processesd the problem. A technique exists in new code NLP that uses this process that Grinder described many years ago. Does the above sound like EMDR? Regards Mike Strong
