    Shawn: Excellent, and apparently unassailable, assessment. To summarize: There’s no evidence that eye movement, or any alternating movement, is a necessary component of “EMDR”--all the evidence indicates there’s nothing unique about EMDR, and that it’s a rip-off form, with a few extra meaningless bells and whistles, of cognitive and/or cognitive-behavioral therapy.
