Interestingly, it occurs to me that a couple of those quotes contradict each other. For instance, how can something be integrative and also be a paradigm shift... thanks for different perspective, in any case. Looking over the archives, I saw reference to an article with a title something like "EMDR without eye movements equals good therapy". In a nutshell, that exemplifies my own experience. EMDR is structured, collaborative and cognitive. It works great, but the components (as you put it) are terribly unclear. I'll look forward to further research.
