Sandra-the follow up groups did not have additional treatment and perhaps it reads a bit misleadingly. They had subsequent treatment and this was generally the continuation of previously prescribed anti-depressant medication for which they had to visit their General Practitioner. Over 70% of the subjects were on anti-depressants and had been for at least 6 weeks prior to being admitted to the trial. Nearly all had been medication free prior to their PTSD.
Most of the trauma were single episode with the exception of a small no. who had childhood sexual abuse.
