    If you re-read my previous post you may realize that you are completely missing what is in my view is a crucial point.

    That is, microsaccades occur during visual fixation, thus making it similar to eye movemnt activity, both of which are different from voluntary visual fixation.

    In fact, when clients engage in voluntary visual fixation during EMDR treatment, they often appear to dissociate that seems to interfere with effective treatment.

    What should be obvious from my previous post is that a fixed eye condition is not an appropriate control, as it appears to have overalpping effects with eye movements.
