Dear Dr. Bergmann, I apoligize for obviously making you angry. I was trying to agree with some of your points but it seems like you have interpreted my responses as trying to misrepresent what you said. I was saying that I agree with your clinical observations that "bilateral" stimulation not be needed and then went on to try to offer alternate explanations. These are based on my own experience using these and similar methods and on reading the ideas offered from various authors like Denny and Galloe. I was trying to make some sense out of the the power therapies in a way that will be most useful to clients. As I have already stated, we will simply have to agree to disagree on some points. The only point I was originally trying to express was that if would first be optimal to demonstrate that sensory stimulation adds a lot to treatments such as EMDR before we spend time trying to find the cause. Then it would be able to silence those who could no longer claim that the treatment was "placebo". Also, let us all refrain from personal attacks here. There is no need to argue because it is only in working together that things will eventually be resolved and floursih. Best Wishes.
