    I am filling in on the list while Sandra is on vacation.

    As with any case, the specific use of EMDR is tailored to the specific needs of the patient/client so there is no way to say specifically how EMDR might be employed with a case involving depersonalization. Depersonalization is generally considered to be in the dissociatrive spectrum and as such it poses special challenges for all forms of psychotherapy, including EMDR.

    As a general rule the depersonalization would need to be evaluated very carefully, the presence of additional dissociative aspects of the case would need to be evaluated very carefully as would a trauma history.

    You would want to find an EMDR therapist who not only has completed all the training in EMDR (through Part II) and who is also an expert in dissociatrive disorders.
