Without commenting on your specific experience, I'll make some general comments. It is very common in EMDR to become aware of aspects of self. It is an integrative process, and sometimes the level of co-conciousness is very high. (That's a term used in discussing DID, but really it can apply to anyone). What I like about EMDR and using ego state work together is that the therapist and client can use the conference room in the minds eye to pull out or interview or tuck in parts of self as needed to accomplish the therapeutic task. One could say that when many parts of self are present, one has a high degree of Mindfulness.
