Re:Demand and Withdraw communication in Marital Violence

When there is marital violence, it is obvious that the various branches of legal and social agencies (must) are involved. However, the first action that we as clinicians must iniciate is the immediate relief of the victim - later it will be our activity to help the victims understand why/how/what .. ... ... has occured and how she/he will learn to replace those "victim patterns" by responses that will lead to reinforcement.
