A recent review of the literature and meta-analysis which examines the results of six studies of CT with depressed adolescents is summarized in the October, 1998 edition of the Beck Institute's newsletter. The study's authors conclude that interventions directed towards enhancing depressed adolescents' sense of control, personal efficacy, mastery of and pleasure in activities, and social skills can be helpful.
