We in Manchester. Uk. have been doing CT and CBT with psychotic patients fot 10 years. We've carried out a small randomised controlled trial which was published in the Brit. J. Psychiat (Tarrier et al, 1993) and a second large trial is to be reported in the Brit Med J.. We also have on-going trials with acutely ill recent onset patients and with dual diagnosis patients. A book Wykes, Tarrier & lewis (eds) Outcome and innovation in Psychological Treatment of Schizophrenia has recently been published by Wiley(ISBN 0-471-97659-8).
