    religion and OCD

    Jim: I agree with what you say. This is often dramatically present in OCD where the focus is religious ideas. My perception is that some therapists with strong religious beliefs themselves tend to get into a terrible tangle. As with any other type of belief, it is crucial that the therapist RESPECT and ACCEPT the clients' beliefs, without there being any necessity that they share them; probably better if they don't (which is what the paper you abstract may imply). Very interesting. Paul
