-snip- I did give him a structured diagnostic interview and he met the criteria for 4 separate personality disorders- ASPD, borderline, paranoid and avoidant. Unfortunately for me (since I wanted to work with him), I did have to recommend a transfer for him to the mental health hospital. He had thought his roommate was going to hurt him so he stood over the sleeping roommate with a lock in a sock (a makeshift weapon.) He pulled himself away before hurting him and told the security officer. While in TLU (temporary lock-up) for investigation, he tried to choke himself with a sheet.
I am hoping that he can work with his Axis I stuff i.e. his anger and anxiety at the hospital and then maybe come back so that we can work on his personality problems. I am still interested in your feedback since I can't seem to see how your writings on ASPD or mixed personality disorders would help me with such a severe personality disordered individual.
