Schwartz's approach to using mindfulness with OCD looks promising to me except that he doesn't explicitly include exposure and response prevention (ERP) in his protocol. There's a large body of research showing that ERP is effective in treating OCD and my clinical experience suggests that it is indispensable. Unless there is evidence that mindfulness-based interventions (without ERP) are as effective as ERP, I'd strongly recommend adding ERP (in the office and/or as homework) to Schwartz's approach.
