Jim Pretzer · 06/08/03 at 8:50 PM ET

Those who view Chronic Fatigue Syndrome as a purely medical problem may be surprised to learn that there is a respectable ammount of evidence that supports CBT as a treatment for CFS. An review of the evidence regarding various approaches to treating CFS can be found in:

Whiting, P., Bagnall, A., Cornell, J., Mulrow, C. & Ramirez, G. (2001). Interventions for the treatment and management of chronic fatigue syndrome. Journal of the American Medical Association, 286, 1360-1368.
