Specificity of treatment

I agree whole-heartedly with Jim's points.

A large-scale meta-analysis of outcome studies of medical practice in this country may very well show common and non-specific factors for all effective physicians. Yet, I sure as heck wouldn't go to a dermatologist if I had a broken leg.
