Shoplifting

I was recently referred a client who has been arrested multiple times for shoplifting. She does not meet DSM criteria for kleptomania, impulse disorder, or conduct disorder. There seems to be no discernable Axis I disorder. Is there a preferred treatment modality for individuals with a primary problem of shoplifting/theft?
