Criticisms of CBT from the British Medical Journal
Jim Pretzer · 02/01/02 at 9:08 PM ET

A series of brief articles debating whether CBT is superior to other treatment approaches or not is available at http://bmj.com/cgi/content/full/324/7332/288. Please note that some of the critics give a biased view of the literature. For example, Bolsover cites a handful of studies with methodological flaws and then concludes that the empirical support for CBT is weaker than has been claimed. He conveniently overlooks the large body of well-controlled studies which provide support for CBT.
