Re:CT with Aspberger's syndrome in adolescents and young adults
For those who are interested in CBT with PDD, we have been building up some expereiences in the UK with this group. My own expereince has been with treating OCD. I have to say that the CBT has not been as successful as with neurotypical clients. We also see some effects due to literal understanding which we don't expect - so for instance it is difficult to use metaphor to improve understanding. I am also aware that Dr Dougal Hare of the University of Manchester has published some case studies on the use of CBT with PDD clients.
