For those who are interested in CBT with PDD, we have been building up some expereiences in the UK with this group. My own expereince has been with treating OCD. I have to say that the CBT has not been as successful as with neurotypical clients. We also see some effects due to literal understanding which we don't expect - so for instance it is difficult to use metaphor to improve understanding. I am also aware that Dr Dougal Hare of the University of Manchester has published some case studies on the use of CBT with PDD clients.
