    CBT for Bipolar Affective Disorder
    Jas · 03/07/01 at 1:36 ET

I am a student working with a client with Bipolar, we are currently working on identifying and managing her prodromes. This work is slow - the client has done this work a few times in the past and is 'resigned' to her illness. I was wondering how much CBT can help someone with bipolar - everything I have read talks in terms of 'management' but is there, like unipolar depression, the chance of actual 'cure'? If not, then why not?
