Re:Meichenbaum's ideas on the development of healthy and maladaptive behaviors

The place where I remember Meichenbaum discussing the development of healthy and maladaptive behavior in in his classic book Cognitive Behavior Modification: An Integrative Approach (1977). However, I imagine that his thinking has changed a bit in the intervening years. You might want to try doing a computerised literature search with "Meichenbaum" and "etiology" as keywords.
