I am interested in tobacco use, addiction and cessation programs. I recently read a report from Sweden that says that there is a decrease in smoking tobacco and an increase in smokeless tobacco use. Does anyone know of any research into using smokeless tobacco as a short term means of reducing smoking tobacco use? Also, does anyone know of programs that encourage short term use of smokeless tobacco instead of smoking tobacco? I imagine that using one to replace the other short term is not to popular considering that tobacco use in total is not politically correct and is generally unhealthy. Thank you,
