    Re:Controling behavior and marital conflict

    Thanks for your thought. In the past, we have done some counseling sessions that I thought were positive. Last year, when I suggested couples counseling again, my husband refused and said that counseling is just a way for me to blame him for my problems. A few months ago, I suggested doing a weekend "retrouvaille" marriage encounter. My husband was offended and said these encounters are for troubled marriages and not appropriate for us. For several months, I have been going to private therapy for myself, but can't seem to find a way through this controling behavior. That is why I am asking for other people's common sense insight.
