Ordinary, average, people are tossed to and fro by social circumstances as translated through whatever society they may find themselves in. Ordinary, average, people are brainwashed into feeling that lasting happiness comes from things outside oneself. Ordinary, average, people do not understand the importance of developing a strong mind and creating happiness and contentment within based upon gratitude for all things equally. Ordinary, average people do not realize that by consistently moaning and complaining about their lives they are actually attracting more reasons to moan and complain about. An ordinary, average person is easily manipulated by the people within his or her environment. Do you truly feel that a strong, flexible, lasting contentment and appreciation of all the gifts life has to offer will ever be realized by an “ordinary average person?” If so, I feel you truly need to think a lot more! When early in life I chose to be a professional musical entertainer I had no idea what I was letting myself in for. THOSE OF YOU WHO WOULD ASPIRE TO BE “ARTISTS” TAKE HEED OF THIS: If you truly love to do something and are continually forced to do it for a living eventually you may very well despise that which you once loved to do! This is a lesson I learned the hard way and is something anyone considering to become a professional artist should seriously consider. I knew my limitations and that I was not accomplishing the high goals I had set for myself at the time. In the light of this the applause and standing ovations I received eventually meant nothing. I lost respect for the intelligence of my audience and joined the Army. It is amazing that no matter how difficult Army life was words cannot describe how grateful I am that the Army set me free from that performance hell. DO ANY OF YOU THINK IT IS MERE COINCIDENCE THAT SO MANY “ARTISTS” END UP DEPRESSED ALCOHOLICS AND DRUG ADDICTS? “ARTISTS” ARE OFTEN PEOPLE WHO OVERCOMPENSATE FOR THEIR DEFLATED EGOS. They must have others tell them how great they are in order to actually believe they are worth something. Fortunate are those whose self-respect and healthy congratulations come from within. The art of successful moment-by-moment living is, in my opinion, the Ultimate Art and the one art everyone should become a master of. People have many different talents and certain artistic talents should be saved for personal pleasure rather than commercial exploitation. In all fields there are those who are careless and sloppy and there are those who are strive for impeccable precision. Fortunate is the person who can find honest, impeccable auto mechanics in this day and age! Financial success based on lies and cheating is self-defeating. Sooner or later it will take its toll on the happiness of the individual who thinks of success in such a manner. Living a life striving to make the very best of all circumstances is what I call successful living. The mastery of the mind towards a positively productive and fruitful life often entails a continual striving towards greater impeccable precision in what is produced and in how the people one is forced to associate with are dealt with. It may be seen as a shame to some, but the fact of the matter is that if (((YOU))) do not manipulate the people around you towards your overall advantage they will most definitely be manipulating you. If you are working for a boss and feel that what I have just shared is not true then I can safely say that you are indeed deluding yourself. Successful manipulation of people can easily lead to abuse of this power of the mind. I find it is best to expect that everything I do will proverbially blow up in my face. To set up life strategically so that everything I do pushes me forward towards greater victory ESPECIALLY WHEN IT BLOWS UP IN MY FACE is an art that I have been developing to my advantage. May you find at least some useful information in what I have shared in this post.
