Therapists are too like a brother or a sister. They are rent a brothers or rent a sisters, or rent a parent. That's all a therapist is. Sometimes a therapist can be a rent a lover too. Therapy IS a long term personal relationship, and as such, Huggins is recommended. That’s why therapists should hug clients, to make them feel better. If a therapist does not hug clients, they are cold and unfeeling people. And if a therapist won’t even offer a hug for ten dollars, then you should not be seeing a therapist. You pay therapists to talk to you, why not pay them for a hug too? Maybe the fact that Monica was turned down by her therapist for hugs, is the reason why she is so cold and unfeeling about this today. It's too bad she did not get hugged by her therapist, she would probably not be so dead set against hugging, had she got some professional hugs herself. There is nothing to fear over a lawsuit either. It's just the therapists word against the client, and no court or licensing board will believe that a person seeing a therapist is a credible witness anyway. After all, if a client is seeing a therapist, they must be crazy. And if a therapist is sued, all they have to tell a jury or a licensing board is that the client is crazy and the get off the hook. Therapists never worry about getting sued because of this. My lover got hugs from her therapist all the time. She even was allowed to hold her therapists new born baby! Her name is Joan Weiss, MA, CSW, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, she hugs all the time and has a very good reputation.
