What your wife experiences is what we all experience. It would be important for you and your wife to figure out why this is the case, that wealth is flowing upward at an accelerating rate. And then figure out why we allow this to happen. Your wife needs to join a social action group, not a support group for commiserting therapists or "consultants." The powerlessness that everyone feels is the total intention of the wealthy. And until we develop collective power (not unions, which are betraying working people) it is going to get worse. Much worse. There is no way to avoid politicizing this issue anymore as we have done in the past. It's not going to be corrected by "support groups" believe me. Hell...look at the situation of teachers in this country...and they are totally powerless as well! What is this powerlessness? When you figure this out, hopefully you and your wife will develop enough anger to join others in the street....as happens in Germany or France where they have their heads screwed on straight. We are wimps...that's why we are being stepped on!!
