I appreciate your concerns about it promoting dependency. I didn't say it was exactly healthy, just legal. From your perspective, it makes sense that an additional measure would be for the therapist to process this with the client, so as to clarify any potential misunderstandings or misconstrued acceptance from the therapist. That is, if the client knows you know they have moved right across the street. It's two different things if the client tells you or if the client thinks you don't know. I think the latter would be a bit more ominous.
